Chapter 3 Finale

That old banshee, Mrs. Chopstock, screamed into the megaphone as she started her lecture.

Shea and I jumped, looked at each other and nodded, which was the signal to act out the plan. Someday I have got to thank Shea for this.

Shea, ready as ever, jumped on the seats. “I’ve got a lovely bunch of coconuts…” He sang.

Chopstock glared at him and he quickly sat down, as planned.

Then once her back was turned, Shea smiled at me and jumped up again. “…there they are a standing in the road…”

Once again Chopstock turned at him and he sat down.

Shea gave me wink which was my signal to join in on the fun.

Then for the last time she turned her back to us and this time we both jumped up, this time with me clapping my hands so a spotlight was on us and Shea unnoticeably dropped an already lit colorless smoke bomb.

“Big ones, small ones, some as big as you head. Give a twist, a flick of the wrist, that’s what the shaman said…” We both sang at the top of our lungs in front of everyone.

Then we acted out part 2 of the plan.

I pretend sniffing the air with a horrified expression on my face. “FIRE!!!” I yelled out, hoping for a reaction.

People are so stupid.

As soon I yelled that out, everyone went into a mass panic and piled into the door as smoke quickly filled the room.

Shea quickly rushed over to the crowd and stole back his wallet from Cyrus, then rushed back to me and we acted out our final stage of the plan.

We crawled into a vent and dumped smoke bombs into every room of the whole school as we continued crawling through the vents. Then when we finished, we crawled out of another vent and pretended that we got lost as the whole school waited for the fire department to clear out the school.

After that whole mess, we were given a ten minute break, so we waited for the girls to come back, knowing that the worse had yet to come.

And it did, in the form of a pissed off Aria.

“YOU INCOMPITENT TRRESPONSIBLE…I CAN’T BELIEVE…OH MY GOD I’M GOING TO KILL YOU BOTH FOR THIS!!” She screamed.

Shea just gave her a blank stare and shrugged his shoulders. “Not my fault I have ADD and a short term memory span.”

I winced. “Okay so now that you are officially done screaming I think its fair to say that we gave you a fair warning and we told you what we’ll receive as punishment or rather Shea did all that stuff…” I said putting the blame on him.

“I blame ADD…” Shea pointed out to me.

Aria looked exhausted. “Well that’s going to cut it anymore guys…”

“…we’re going to demand extra payment now.” Yuki finished walking up to Shea.

Shea and I were thrown off by this.

“What kind of payment?” Shea asked narrowing his eyes in suspicion at Yuki.

Yuki giggled and messed with the pink tie that Shea was wearing; causing him to blush as she suddenly was inches away from his face. “Depends on whom you’re asking…” She answered. Then she whispered something in his ear and Shea’s face became a bright red as she pulled away from him and winked.

“Young love.” Aria and I said at the same time.

Shea was still blushing. “Yeah well we’re just waiting for you two to actually make out.”

I blushed and looked away. “Yeah well…oh damn I can’t think of a decent comeback to throw at you.”

“Serves you right.” Shea said, blowing a raspberry at me.

Then the bell rang and we went back to class.

All of us were late and we ran to our class, till Shea tripped on the newly waxed floors and crashing into the door.

Then I crashed into him and Aria and Yuki crashed into us.

The door opened and we fell into our class room and rushed to our seats.

“Thank you for joining us, kids…” Churchill started.

“I’m not a kid!” Shea objected, only to have a plunger thrown at him and miss.

“…we shall be watching a movie. Does anyone have any suggestions?” Churchill finished.

Cyrus jumped. “Phantom of the Opera!”

“Oh hell no, that movie is really creepy. Let’s watch The Mask.” Shea objected.

Cyrus stood up and glared at him. “Phantom of the Opera.”

Shea stood up as well. “The Mask.”

“Phantom!”

“The Mask!”

“PHANTOM!”

“THE MASK!”

“HAPPY GILMORE!” I yelled in between them.

“COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO!” Aria yelled.

“THE CAT RETURNS!” Yuki yelled as well.

Then everyone else started yelling out movies until…

“ELMOS MAGICAL ADVENTURE!” Some random classmate yelled out.

We all stopped and looked at him in confusion.

Churchill slammed her yardstick down on the desk and we sat down. She then stood up with a broken yardstick in her hand. “Fine then I shall be picking the movie.”

“You can’t do that!” Shea yelled standing up.

Churchill gave him a death glare and he sat back down.

Needless to say that no one paid any attention to the movie and class ended, and thanks to our assembly crashing prank, we were supposed to clean off the boards, but we escaped due to Shea creating a chalk cloud and yelling out jailbreak.

After out running our teacher, we met up with the girls and started walking back home.

But I stopped as a cold wind blew right through me with a depressing howl.

It was strange, because well the wind generators weren’t on right now and it almost felt like it was warning me that someone close was going to pass on.

It also felt dark, ominous, and forebodeing.

I shivered as a tear ran down my cheek, till a piece of paper hit my shoulder.

I looked up to see that Shea and the girls had stopped walking and were now looking at me.

“Hey Luca, what’s the hold up for? Come on!” Shea yelled to me, waving his arms.

I shook my head and rushed up to them.

We continued walking when Shea slowed down so he could walk next to me.

“There's a storm coming.” I warned him.

“I know.” Shea responded sounding serious.

Something was coming, almost like a storm. But why now? And how could we had both felt it at the same time? This wasn’t making any sense.

Another wind blew through us as we caught up to the girls when we heard an unfamiliar sound off in the distance.

It was the sound of thunder.
